Dollar Tree Stores is seeking a dedicated Customer Service Associate to enhance the shopping experience for every customer. This role is pivotal in maintaining a welcoming and efficient store environment, ensuring customer satisfaction, and contributing to overall store operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist customers with inquiries and provide recommendations to enhance their shopping experience.
- Efficiently manage sales transactions and operate the assigned cash register.
- Uphold the security of cash and protect company assets diligently.
- Ensure the store remains well-stocked and merchandise is recovered appropriately.
- Receive and unload merchandise, contributing to stock replenishment in line with productivity standards.
- Cultivate a positive, safe, and respectful environment through professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders.
- Maintain the cleanliness and presentability of the entire store, including restrooms, floors, and trash removal.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support store operations.
Skills and Experience
To succeed as a Customer Service Associate, candidates should possess the following:
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environments is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
- Capable of lifting 30 to 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meeting physical demands such as frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
- Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are essential.
- Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities are necessary.
