About the Role: Customer Service Associate at Dollar Tree Stores
We are looking for a dedicated Customer Service Associate to join our team at Dollar Tree Stores. This role is crucial in ensuring every customer enjoys a positive and efficient shopping experience.
You will be responsible for a variety of tasks that contribute to the smooth operation and inviting atmosphere of our store.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist customers with inquiries, provide recommendations, and offer exceptional service.
- Accurately manage sales transactions and operate the assigned cash register.
- Maintain the security of cash and diligently protect company assets.
- Ensure the store is consistently well-stocked, and efficiently recover merchandise.
- Receive incoming merchandise and assist with unloading trucks and restocking shelves according to productivity standards.
- Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment through professional and friendly interactions with customers, fellow associates, and leaders.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the store, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out trash, and ensuring all areas are neat and presentable.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support store operations.
Skills and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Previous customer service experience in retail, hospitality, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environments is highly preferred.
- Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
- Must be capable of lifting between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height.
- Must meet the physical demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
- Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are essential.
- Strong organizational and communication skills are a must.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.
