Job Overview: Customer Service Associate

As a Customer Service Associate at Dollar Tree Stores, you will play a crucial role in providing an excellent shopping experience for every customer. This position involves direct interaction with customers, managing sales, maintaining store standards, and ensuring efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and provide product recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions accurately while operating an assigned cash register.
• Maintain the security of cash and protect company assets.
• Ensure the store is well-stocked and merchandise is recovered.
• Receive merchandise and assist with unloading trucks and stocking shelves according to productivity standards.
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment through professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Responsible for maintaining cleanliness throughout the store, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, and ensuring all areas are neat and presentable.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support store operations.

Skills and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in a retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.
