Overview
Dohrn Transfer Company is a leading Midwest LTL Carrier offering less-than-truckload, truckload, and value-added services through a 10-state service area. We invite you to join our growing team as a Part-Time Dock Supervisor at our St. Louis, MO terminal.
Compensation & Schedule
Hourly rate: $26.50. Work schedule: Monday-Friday, 5PM start.
Essential Duties
- Provide supervision and feedback for dock team members.
- Assist with dockworker duties as needed.
- Communicate efficiently with coworkers, supervisors, and other departments.
- Maintain a safe, professional work environment.
- Process daily paperwork associated with operations.
- Collaborate positively with team members.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Minimum Requirements
- At least 18 years old
- Valid Driver License and High School completion (or equivalent)
- Previous transportation industry experience; supervisory experience preferred
- Must pass a non-DOT physical and drug screen
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills
- Forklift safety and hazardous material handling certification required
Working Conditions / Physical Demands
This role involves material handling including lifting cartons, boxes, drums, and more. Use of forklifts, pallet jacks, carts, and other tools is required. Expect prolonged standing, walking, and lifting tasks in variable temperature conditions.
