What You'll Do
As a Payroll Analyst - International, you will proactively collaborate with key internal business partners within the Global Payroll organization and third-party vendors. This role demands independent thinking for handling payroll analysis and validations specifically for Canada, Egypt, and Mexico. Success in this position requires familiarity with wage and hour laws, Global Tax legislations, and a strong drive to contribute to an efficient payroll process. You must be adept at handling ambiguity, be self-motivated to grasp the complete picture, and propose resolutions or take appropriate action. Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to deliver results under pressure are crucial, as is working efficiently in a rapidly changing environment. This is an individual contributor role reporting to the Sr. Payroll Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Process payrolls for Canada, Egypt, and Mexico, ensuring timely and accurate execution.
- Review, validate, and reconcile payroll data for accuracy in payments, reporting, and record-keeping.
- Audit and verify timekeeping system data for compliance with company policies.
- Apply or assist in creating new pay policies (e.g., holiday pay, on-call pay, overtime, deduction calculations, withholding exemptions) in accordance with international regulations.
- Process equity transactions (RSU, ESPP, etc.) for all countries according to local tax regulations.
- Ensure accurate quarter-end and year-end payroll processing, including local tax reconciliation.
- Maintain and adhere to internal controls (including SOX) and procedures to ensure compliance and accurate financial reporting.
- Provide exceptional customer service for complex payroll and tax-related inquiries from employees, managers, HRBPs, HR Operations, and external vendors.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and standardization within payroll operations.
- Draft and maintain clear, detailed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for payroll processes.
- Support payroll-related projects and initiatives as assigned.
- Support internal and external audits, including providing required documentation.
Job Designation
This position is designated as Remote, meaning the employee is not required to be in or near an office frequently and works from a designated remote work location for the majority of the time. Docusign reserves the right to change a position's job designation based on business needs and local law.
What You Bring
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of payroll-related responsibilities.
- 5+ years of experience processing international payroll.
- BS/BA Degree or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPP/FPC certification.
- Experience with Workday, ADP, and Dayforce.
- Solid understanding of payroll knowledge and principles.
- Some understanding of payroll processing within a shared services environment.
- Solid time management skills with the ability to prioritize assignments in a dynamic work environment.
- Proficient computer, organizational, analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
- Intermediate Excel level, proficient with Google applications.
- Ability to complete self-initiated training to remain current on payroll practices.
- Ability to learn processes quickly for efficient and effective results.
- Ability to troubleshoot payroll processing issues, run, and analyze reports.

Pay for this position varies based on factors like geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Example base salary ranges for various US locations include: California: $94,000.00 - $136,600.00; Illinois, Colorado, Massachusetts, Minnesota: $89,400.00 - $116,175.00; Washington, Maryland, New Jersey, New York (including NYC metro area): $89,400.00 - $122,125.00; Washington DC: $94,000.00 - $122,125.00; Ohio: $80,000.00 - $104,000.00.
