About the Role: Product Design Director

In this role, you will obsess over solving real problems for real people, ensuring that design improves user outcomes rather than merely looking beautiful. Your leadership, empathy for users, and collaboration with product and engineering teams will drive measurable improvements in user experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • User-Centric Vision: Champion design grounded in research, data, and real needs.
  • Problem Framing: Uncover root causes and define clear problem statements.
  • Design Leadership: Mentor designers for critical thinking and rapid iteration.
  • Outcome Focus: Drive improvements in user experience and satisfaction.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product, engineering, research, and analytics teams.
  • Rapid Iteration: Encourage prototyping, testing, and learning over perfection.
  • Strategic Influence: Identify design opportunities impacting user success and business goals.
  • Communication: Articulate the rationale behind design decisions linking them to user value.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years in Product Design with 3+ years in leadership.
  • Experience in tech, product-driven SaaS companies.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating design execution, problem-solving, and leadership.
  • Expertise in systems thinking, component-based design, and modern design tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, or related field (or equivalent experience).
