Role Overview

As a Technical Account Manager, you will act as a strategic partner to our most critical customers, driving product adoption and ensuring success in transforming how they build and ship software. You will bridge the gap between engineering and business outcomes and help shape what world-class customer success looks like at Docker.

Responsibilities

  • Drive product adoption aligned to customer objectives.
  • Collaborate with sales to document customer SDLC and goals.
  • Conduct Executive Business Reviews to highlight value.
  • Facilitate communication between customers and internal teams.
  • Stay updated with Docker technologies and industry trends.

Qualifications

  • Customer-facing technical roles experience (TAM, Solutions Architect, DevOps Consultant).
  • Strong understanding of containerization, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code.
  • Ability to identify patterns and build system-level strategies.
  • Comfortable with technical ambiguity and complex organizations.
  • Effective communicator with both technical teams and executives.
  • Bonus: Experience with developer-first platforms or cloud-native ecosystems.

What To Expect

First 30 Days: Complete onboarding and training, shadow experienced TAMs, meet your customer portfolio, and build relationships internally. Review customer documentation to spot improvement opportunities.

First 90 Days: Take ownership of a customer portfolio, lead account engagements, conduct business reviews with manager guidance, establish regular customer check-ins, and contribute to process improvements.

One-year Outlook: Own the full lifecycle for strategic or enterprise customers, build executive relationships, contribute to the TAM engagement model, and mentor new TAMs.
