About the Lead Food and Beverage Auditor Role

DNV Business Assurance is targeting significant growth over the next three years, with the food sector being a major focus for certification activities. DNV is highly respected globally in this industry.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Perform audits, write comprehensive reports, and follow up on corrections and corrective actions in a timely manner.
  • Efficiently execute work for DNV as required by instructions, the Quality system, and in compliance with customer contracts.
  • Maintain effective communication with line management, audit team members, and customer stakeholders.
  • Maintain and acquire auditor qualifications in accordance with DNV procedures.
  • Develop and nurture positive and constructive relationships with customers.
  • Act as a collaborative team player, contributing to a positive and efficient working environment.
  • Manage audit campaigns for major customer accounts.
  • Get involved in technical issues to support operational and sales teams.
  • Participate in collective work to implement and improve our organizational processes.

This position is for full-time employment, though cooperation as a subcontractor may also be considered.

About You and Position Qualifications

Candidates should possess at least three (3) years of full-time professional experience (quality, food safety, production, R&D) within the industry or retail, specifically in food safety audits/inspections. Consultancy experience related to food processing activities may be recognized for a maximum of six months towards work experience.

  • Proven auditing experience with various food safety schemes, including BRCGS, IFS Food, ISO 22000, or FSSC 22000.
  • A degree in a food-related field.
  • Relevant experience in quality or production within the food industry.
  • Fluency in French and a good command of English.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret audit protocols and work instructions.
  • Excellent customer orientation skills.
  • Possess a valid driver's license.
  • At least two or three or more of the following qualifications: IFS Food, IFS Logistic, FSSC 22.000 Food, ISO 22.000, BRCGS Food, BRCGS Packaging, Global Gap.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Be analytical, synthetic, empathetic, able to communicate effectively, react calmly, and make sound decisions.

Security and compliance with statutory requirements in the countries in which we operate are essential for DNV. Background checks will be conducted on all final candidates as part of the offer process, in accordance with applicable country-specific laws and practices.
