DKI is inviting motivated and globally minded individuals to join its International Election Observation Missions as Global Election Observers. This opportunity offers a unique chance to engage directly in democratic processes across different regions of the world. Observers may participate on-site or remotely, contributing to independent, impartial monitoring that supports free, fair, and transparent elections. Whether you are starting your career or bringing years of experience, this role provides practical exposure, international collaboration, and real-world impact in governance and democracy work.

Who Should Apply

We welcome applicants from diverse academic and professional backgrounds, including Political Science, International Relations, Governance, Public Policy; Law, Public Administration, Civil Service; NGO/NPO sectors, civic engagement, democracy and human rights programs; Policy advisors, election practitioners, analysts, and public officials. This role is open to both students, early-career professionals, and experienced experts, as well as national and international applicants. A strong interest in democracy, elections, and governance is essential.

Key Responsibilities

As a Global Election Observer, you will:
  • Monitor electoral processes, including campaigns, polling, vote counting, and results transmission.
  • Engage in pre-election, election-day, and post-election observation activities.
  • Attend briefings, trainings, and coordination meetings led by mission leaders.
  • Collect and document findings, contributing to observation reports and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with diverse international teams in a professional and neutral manner.
