Divergent is a qualified Tier 1 supplier to global automotive OEMs and is now expanding to support mission-critical needs in the Aerospace and Defense sector. Join us to be a part of this transformative journey, where your impact will shape the future of technology and production.
Duration: 12 weeks (summer 2026)

Purpose of the Role
As a Business Intelligence Intern at Divergent, you will be a vital part of a dynamic team that thrives on solving complex problems through data-driven insights. We are looking for a detail-oriented problem solver who can take projects from start to finish with increasing autonomy. In this role, you can expect to work with data and stakeholders across the organization as we continue to mature as a data-driven organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Extract, transform, and analyze datasets using cutting-edge BI tools and methodologies. Create robust and well-documented code and data infrastructure that can provide long-term value.
- Manage Company-Wide Business Intelligence Assets: Build and improve data tools to ensure clean and consistent data access for stakeholders across the company. Monitor and maintain existing data assets to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, and repair assets as issues arise.
- Data Integrity Analysis and Exception Reporting: Take ownership of existing data tools to create enduring solutions to proactively maintain healthy and clean data assets. Create scalable, automated exception reports to notify stakeholders of issues in source data systems.
Basic Qualifications

- Technical Skills: Experience in Excel, Python, SQL. Familiarity with visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau is a plus.
- Project Management: Proven ability to drive projects from start to finish, and good judgment on when to seek solutions independently and when to seek guidance.
- Communication Excellence: Ability to collect business requirements accurately and completely from stakeholders and articulate findings in a clear, concise, and impactful manner to stakeholders.
- Growth Mindset: Arriving with a desire to learn, willingness to engage with new topics, and desire to provide long-term value versus “just” completing projects.
What We Offer
- Holistic Compensation Package: Enjoy a world-class compensation package that includes a competitive salary, equity plan, and discretionary results-based incentive bonus opportunities, ensuring you're truly valued for your contributions.
- Wellness and Time Off: Embrace a healthy lifestyle with paid vacation, sick time, and company holidays, including a year-end shutdown to recharge. We support growing families with paid parental leave, recognizing the importance of bonding time.
- Comprehensive Health and Wellness: Prioritize your well-being with our comprehensive health and wellness benefits, offering both HMO and Premium PPO options. Additionally, benefit from company-sponsored life insurance and short and long-term disability coverage for peace of mind.
- Investment in Growth: We're committed to your professional development. Take advantage of reimbursement opportunities for learning and development initiatives, empowering you to continuously expand your skill set and reach peak performance.
