Joining DLG offers the opportunity to be recognized for your skills, develop them further, and be empowered to deliver your best work. At Direct Line, we are committed to providing simple, brilliant customer experiences, which requires robust and effective internal systems.

The Role: Digital Product Owner Account

We are seeking a Digital Product Owner Account to take full ownership of the My Account roadmap across all Direct Line Group brands. This high-impact role involves close collaboration with engineering, operations, and business stakeholders to deliver crucial digital capabilities. You will also manage Cassy, the essential platform utilized by our operations teams for digital account management. This is a highly visible position with substantial influence over digital servicing strategy, customer experience, and operational efficiency for regulated insurance products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end My Account product roadmap for Churchill, Direct Line, and Privilege web account environments.
  • Define and prioritize a clear, outcome-led backlog, ensuring alignment with strategic business goals, regulatory requirements, and customer needs.
  • Partner closely with engineering teams to deliver secure, scalable, and compliant digital servicing journeys.
  • Manage the Cassy platform and its roadmap to ensure all operational processes and dependencies are met efficiently.
  • Collaborate with core platform teams to manage dependencies, integrations, and system constraints effectively.
  • Drive continuous improvement of authenticated journeys, including policy management, documents, payments, and amendments.
  • Ensure all features adhere to compliance, regulatory, and customer standards within the highly regulated insurance environment.
  • Lead sprint planning, backlog refinement, release planning, and milestone tracking to ensure successful roadmap execution.
  • Proactively identify and manage delivery risks and incidents, alongside dependencies and technical trade-offs.
  • Utilize data, insights, and customer feedback to inform prioritization and demonstrate measurable impact.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in managing digital account or authenticated web journeys.
  • A strong track record of managing product migrations and integrations, working effectively with data engineering and API teams to achieve technical delivery milestones.
  • Skilled in agile product management, with specific expertise in sprint planning, backlog prioritization, and roadmap execution against defined goals.
  • Excellent stakeholder management abilities, including influencing senior leadership, communicating progress, and resolving risks across cross-functional teams.
  • A good technical understanding of digital architecture, APIs, and system integrations.
  • Experience working with or alongside Guidewire is preferred.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and shifting priorities, demonstrating a proactive approach to problem-solving and delivery assurance.
  • Ability to effectively balance customer experience, commercial priorities, and regulatory risk.
  • A confident communicator capable of operating effectively in cross-functional and multi-brand environments.
