Systems Engineer

This role at Direct Customer Solutions LLC supports a diverse computing infrastructure, including applications, servers, and databases. Reporting to the Vice President, IT Infrastructure and Operations, the position works with a team of technical professionals to manage systems critical to business operations.

Essential Functions

  • Setup and maintain master data for clients, customers, products, and locations.
  • Ensure compliance with DSCSA requirements and industry best practices.
  • Configure and troubleshoot integrations between enterprise systems.
  • Test and interpret technical documents (EPCIS, XML, CSV).
  • Install, configure, and administer mission critical applications on Windows/Linux/Unix.
  • Develop system architectures, implementation plans, and maintain technical documentation.
  • Manage networking equipment including VPN, switches, firewalls, DNS, and DHCP servers.
  • Provide technical support through various communication channels.
  • Participate in on-call support during and after business hours.

Requirements & Technical Skills

  • 4-year degree in a technical discipline.
  • At least 3 years of experience with system monitoring, maintenance, and integration.
  • Proficiency in Bash and PowerShell scripting; experience with Windows and Linux architectures.
  • Experience with Microsoft IIS, Nginx, Apache, Tomcat, and databases like SQL, PostgreSQL, or MariaDB.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), VMware vSphere 7+, and Veeam 11+.
  • Understanding of SSL, SOAP/WSDL/REST services, and TCP/IP networking.
