The Role: Web UX/UI Strategist
We are seeking a Web UX/UI Strategy and Architecture Lead to define the structure, logic, and usability of complex websites and application-driven digital experiences. This pivotal role merges strategy, UX, technology, and execution, owning the planning phase of digital experiences before design and development commence.
You will lead client discovery, translate business objectives into clear site architectures and requirements, and ensure projects are built on a robust strategic foundation. This position is also crucial for prototyping, quality assurance, and website audits, enhancing the overall quality and consistency of our work.
Candidates may be based in any of the following US states: AL, AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, IL, IN, KS, KY, MI, MN, MO, NC, NJ, NV, NY, OH, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, and WI.
Key Responsibilities (Mission Objectives)
- UX Strategy and Architecture:
- Lead client discovery calls focused on website and application strategy.
- Develop comprehensive site maps, information architecture, and content framework plans.
- Define user flows, navigation logic, content priorities, and structural recommendations.
- Collaborate with internal creative, development, and client teams to align architectural decisions with business goals and UX best practices.
- Requirements Gathering and Documentation:
- Facilitate discovery sessions to capture functional, technical, and content requirements.
- Document requirements and acceptance criteria clearly for cross-team execution.
- Translate business needs into actionable, engineering-ready specifications.
- Prototyping:
- Utilize or learn tools like Bolt/Base44 (or similar) to create interactive prototypes.
- Produce wireframes, user flows, and early-phase UX artifacts to guide design and development.
- Maintain a library of UX components for accelerated future builds.
- QA and QA Automation:
- Conduct thorough QA on all site builds using replicable checklists.
- Implement and manage automated QA processes to minimize manual testing.
- Document bugs and issues unambiguously for developers using BugHerd or similar tools.
- Website Audits and Insights:
- Perform UX/UI audits, decision-making analyses, accessibility reviews, and structural evaluations.
- Provide actionable recommendations integrating usability, conversion, and SEO.
- Contribute to strategy/CRO roadmaps for ongoing enhancement programs.
Your Qualifications (Space Suit Specs)
- Strong background in Web UX architecture, Information Architecture, or digital strategy.
- Experience with prototyping tools such as Bolt, Base44, Figma, or Whimsical.
- Understanding of front-end behavior and CMS structures (WordPress highly preferred).
- Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and documentation skills; highly detail-oriented.
- Bonus: Experience with QA automation tools (e.g., Ghost Inspector, Playwright, Cypress).
- Bonus: Adaptability and comfort with quickly learning new AI tools.
