Animator

About the Animator Role

Digital Extremes is seeking an Animator to bring characters and props to life. You will work closely with the Animation Director, technical animators, and other team members.

Responsibilities

• Create 3D character animations under detailed direction.
• Develop convincing performances with complex character personalities.
• Understand timing, fundamentals, and real-time gameplay limitations.
• Coordinate with artists and programmers to marry technical specs with artistic vision.
• Contribute innovative ideas and meet production schedules.
• Manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

Requirements

• Provide a demo reel demonstrating excellent animation skills.
• Possess 3+ years of related experience.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Experience animating 3D characters for a next-gen game engine.
• Proficiency in Maya and/or 3D Max.
• Independent problem-solving and team collaboration.
• Passion for video games and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
• Legal eligibility to work in Canada required.
