Job Description
IT Operations Engineer
DICTU is seeking an IT Operations Engineer to join an agile team focused on enhancing the reliability and security of IT services. This role involves working with configuration and asset management within a complex organization.
Responsibilities
As an IT Operations Engineer at DICTU, you will work in small scrum teams on organization-wide services such as configuration management (including asset management), monitoring, logging, and analytics. These services support clients in ensuring the security and reliability of their systems. You will be part of the SACM (Service Asset & Configuration Management) team, ensuring that users have up-to-date, accurate, and reliable information about services, applications, components, assets, and their relationships.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and optimizing team applications.
- Professionalizing management processes with a focus on ISO and BIO compliance.
- Populating, managing, and improving the central CMDB.
- Functionally managing an application portfolio management tool.
- Monitoring the asset management process and reporting to management.
- Investigating new possibilities within existing tools and advising management on improvements and expansions.
You will collaborate closely with a dedicated and driven team using agile principles. Work is done in sprints with regular progress discussions facilitated by a Scrum Master. The Product Owner sets priorities, but you will have significant autonomy and opportunities to take initiative.
The team is distributed across the country but convenes at the Assen location twice a week for intensive collaboration. The remaining days are worked hybrid, with strong digital connections to colleagues.
What You'll Get
- Salary Scale 10: €3,404 - €5,389 (gross)
- Fixed-term employment contract with the prospect of an indefinite contract (12 months).

Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you should have:
- HBO (Higher Professional Education) work and thinking level, preferably in an ICT-related field.
- Knowledge and experience with Agile working.
- Experience with process improvement trajectories.
- Demonstrable knowledge of Python.
Additional advantages include:
- Familiarity with Configuration Management and Asset Management.
- Experience with (Oracle) SQL.
- Experience with TOPdesk.
- Demonstrable knowledge of BMC Helix CMDB software.
- Demonstrable knowledge of Atrium Integrator (Pentaho) Spoon or other ETL software.
- Experience with configuring and managing Linux servers.

About the Team and Organization
Within DICTU, ITOM contributes to managing and controlling the ICT landscape, focusing on the continuity and performance of applications used by DICTU's clients. By providing up-to-date service models, monitoring solutions, and logging analysis, rapid insights are gained into the landscape's status, (future) capacity needs, and agreed-upon service levels. ITOM advises and supports DICTU's DevOps teams in setting up these management tools for their respective applications and systems.
You will also have the opportunity to contribute to other KODA teams as needed. The team consists of approximately 34 employees spread across multiple locations.
