Purpose Of The Role
The Global Category Social Manager will spearhead social media initiatives for Diageo's Beer and Liquor brands. Key responsibilities include implementing the social media operating model, ensuring brand consistency, optimizing performance, and maintaining compliance with marketing standards. You will collaborate with global, regional, and local teams to scale successful initiatives, optimize investments, and mitigate risks, while setting brand social strategy and enabling platform diversification.
Role Responsibilities
- Define and implement global social media best practices and operational standards for Beer and Liquor categories.
- Identify opportunities for efficiency and performance improvements within the social media operating model.
- Ensure all digital assets comply with social media marketing standards.
- Partner with markets and agencies to increase adoption of social media tools and strategies, ensuring content is social-first and data-driven.
- Foster a community of practice for sharing insights and enhancing social media understanding.
- Set and govern brand guardrails for consistency across social channels.
