Cost Analyst/Estimator Senior

Overview

The Cost Analyst/Estimator Senior at Diaconia LLC is responsible for preparing detailed and realistic cost estimates, developing Program Office Estimates (POEs) and conducting comprehensive economic analyses for defense acquisition programs.

Position Responsibilities

• Prepare and adhere to estimating schedules in coordination with Government PMs.
• Develop and continuously adjust POEs to match program changes.
• Interface with IPT members to gather data and document technical baselines.
• Document, brief, and reconcile estimates covering development, procurement, sustainment, and disposal costs.
• Manage a directorate cost data repository and maintain cost reports.
• Analyze contractor proposals and support the development of program financial documents.
• Utilize Government software such as WInsight to measure progress and evaluate performance.
• Support risk assessments, Integrated Baseline Reviews and Acquisition Program documentation.
• Provide direct cost service support at acquisition milestone decision points.
• Assist in the Government's Analysis of Alternatives (AoA) process and economic analyses.

Requirements

Candidates must hold an advanced degree or equivalent experience with significant DoD background. U.S. Citizenship and a security clearance are required. Experience with cost estimating tools and Government documentation is highly valued.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Automated Cost Estimating Integrated Tools (ACEIT).
• Familiarity with other estimating tools like PRICE "TruePlanning", COCOMO, and Oracle Crystal Ball.
• Knowledge of Air Force maintained cost databases and financial management documentation.
