Job Purpose
The primary purpose of the Insurance Data Engineer is to maintain the IRM Employee Benefits Health & Wellbeing Azure data lake and document library, along with its sophisticated Tableau and PowerBI dashboard infrastructure. This role ensures data accuracy, congruence, and reliability to support IRM EB H&W business objectives. It also focuses on automating data uploads and reinsurance processes to enhance program governance and robustness, and contributes to new developments and enhancements in business intelligence, data analysis, and analytics infrastructure.
Your Tasks
- Maintain BI, data analysis & analytics infrastructure by managing diverse data ingestion.
- Address operational issues, applying BI & analytics to enhance decision-making.
- Automate and improve existing data management infrastructure.
- Coordinate data identification from internal/external sources and conduct reporting.
- Assist in implementing data collation/analysis policies and developing new processes.
- Apply mathematics, statistics, and machine-learning under Senior Insurance Data Architect guidance for insights.
- Implement best practices for BI, data warehousing, and data governance.
- Maintain and develop the IRM EB H&W data repository/intranet SharePoint.
- Develop business requirements for solution design.
- Provide support to test teams and resolve test-related issues.
Your Profile
- Bachelor RQs degree in mathematics, computer science, or related fields.
- Over 2 years of relevant experience in data analytics or the insurance industry.
- Experience in an international work environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills for conveying complex ideas to non-experts.
- Eager to learn, curious, and able to work independently.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Preferred experience: Tableau, PowerBI, SQL, Python, Azure.
