IT Analyst Role Purpose
The purpose of the IT Analyst role is to gain a detailed understanding of the Logistics Business from both a technical and operational perspective to serve Internal and External customers effectively. You will act as an IT consultant at key stages of projects, providing viable solutions, analyzing and capturing business requirements, and defining specifications for enhancements or development work. This role involves leading and supporting IT projects that do not require entry into the DHL PMO database, testing application functionalities, and training users to achieve competence in the system. You will also be responsible for managing IT Service Providers and acting as the main interface for Customer IT managers.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the assigned user community remains functional and can operate the business with minimal disruption, providing out-of-hours cover as required.
- Undertake general systems housekeeping and application functional support (L1) for all system-related issues and queries.
- Act as the interface between Business Operations management, Customer IT management, and the IT Team to improve system performance, functionality, and efficiencies.
- Schedule and run application management routines.
- Ensure DHL and Customer company policies are applied where applicable.
- Define requirements for and facilitate the creation and maintenance of required IT documentation, delivering appropriate IT training to operational super users.
- Work collaboratively with third-party service providers and partners, both internal and external.
Requirements For The Job
- Mandatory Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar IT role (implementation, maintenance, and/or roll-out projects).
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues efficiently.
- Solid knowledge of networking protocols, security principles, and best practices.
- Proficiency in using office packages, especially MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
- Effective communication skills (written and verbal) for cross-functional collaboration and conveying technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Detail-oriented mindset to ensure accuracy in documentation and system configurations.
- Team player, flexible, and curious attitude.
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications and Information Technology, or a related field (such as Industrial Engineering).
- Fluent in English and Spanish.
- Preferred Requirements:
- Experience in logistics processes.
- Stakeholder management and Change Management experience.
- Familiarity with databases and client access (Oracle, SQL, Web technologies).
- Familiarity with IT service management (ITSM) frameworks such as ITIL.
