Job Purpose

As the Director, UX Design for Digital Customer Solutions at DHL Express, you will lead the design strategy for our digital platforms and create seamless, user-centered experiences for our global customers. You will oversee a distributed design team, drive innovation, ensure quality and efficiency, and balance customer needs with business priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a high-performing UX design team across DHL Express platforms.
  • Define and execute the UX vision and strategy aligned with business goals.
  • Collaborate with product management, engineering, marketing, and customer service teams.
  • Champion user research, data-driven design, and usability testing.
  • Advocate best practices in usability, accessibility, and responsive design.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships balancing business objectives with customer-centric design.
  • Drive UX innovation by staying updated on emerging technologies and trends.

Management Responsibilities

This role has direct management responsibility for two team members and indirect oversight of the ITS design team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a Design-related field.
  • 10-12 years of experience in leading UX design teams in digital-first environments.
  • Strong expertise in digital customer solutions, user research, and service design.
  • Proficient with design tools such as Figma, Mural, MS Suite, Adobe, etc.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in logistics, supply chain, or related industries is a plus.
