Cybersecurity Intern at Dexter's Tech
Dexter's Tech is seeking a motivated Cybersecurity Intern to join our IT security team. This is a paid, 3-month remote internship with the potential for a full-time role and an internship certificate upon completion. You will gain hands-on experience in a dynamic cybersecurity environment.
Role Overview
As a Cybersecurity Intern, you will support the IT security team in critical areas including threat monitoring, vulnerability identification, penetration testing assistance, and incident response. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to learn and apply foundational cybersecurity principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and logs for suspicious activities.
- Assist in conducting vulnerability assessments to identify system weaknesses.
- Support risk analysis and participate in penetration testing exercises.
- Research and stay updated on emerging cyber threats and trends.
- Help maintain and update security documentation.
Eligibility
- Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Computer Science, IT, or Cybersecurity.
- Basic understanding of network security principles and common security tools.
- Familiarity with tools and concepts such as Wireshark, Metasploit, or OWASP is preferred.
