Dexter's Tech is seeking a motivated Cybersecurity Intern to join our IT security team. This is a paid, 3-month remote internship with the potential for a full-time role and an internship certificate upon completion. You will gain hands-on experience in a dynamic cybersecurity environment.

Role Overview

As a Cybersecurity Intern, you will support the IT security team in critical areas including threat monitoring, vulnerability identification, penetration testing assistance, and incident response. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to learn and apply foundational cybersecurity principles.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and logs for suspicious activities.
• Assist in conducting vulnerability assessments to identify system weaknesses.
• Support risk analysis and participate in penetration testing exercises.
• Research and stay updated on emerging cyber threats and trends.
• Help maintain and update security documentation.

Eligibility

• Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Computer Science, IT, or Cybersecurity.
• Basic understanding of network security principles and common security tools.
• Familiarity with tools and concepts such as Wireshark, Metasploit, or OWASP is preferred.
