At Dexter's Tech, we are looking for a dedicated Cybersecurity Intern to join our IT security team. Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze security alerts, logs, and potential incidents to identify and mitigate threats.
• Assist in identifying vulnerabilities within systems and implementing effective preventive security measures.
• Support penetration testing and risk assessments, working closely under expert supervision.
• Draft and update crucial cybersecurity policies, documentation, and compliance reports.
• Assist IT teams during incident response procedures and security investigations.
• Research emerging cyber threats, malware patterns, and advanced attack techniques to stay ahead of risks.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or a closely related field.
• Possess a basic understanding of network security concepts, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and common security protocols.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity tools such as Wireshark, Metasploit, Burp Suite, or Kali Linux is preferred.
• Knowledge of OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities is considered a significant advantage.
• Demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
