DevSavant operates as a strategic partner for startups and growth-stage companies, helping them transform ambition into successful execution. We provide product engineering and global staffing solutions, supporting founders from early prototypes and MVPs to scaling high-performing teams. Our rigorously vetted talent from across LATAM and Asia integrates directly into client teams, acting as true extensions rather than external vendors. With over 8 years of experience in venture-backed ecosystems, DevSavant is a trusted ally for accelerating delivery, efficiently scaling teams, and supporting companies in achieving their next major milestones.
About The Technical Project Manager Role
We are actively seeking a Technical Project Manager to take ownership of both the product vision ('what' and 'why') and the execution strategy ('how' and 'when') for our applied engineering initiatives. This role is perfectly suited for a startup-minded professional who thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments, is adept at managing multiple responsibilities, and can skillfully balance strategic product thinking with hands-on delivery management.
This is a multifaceted role, blending operational project management with strategic product leadership. The core focus is on driving tangible impact by ensuring the development of the right solutions and their efficient delivery. The Technical Project Manager will collaborate closely with the Director of Applied Engineering/Tech Lead and a dedicated, lean engineering team to maximize product value and achieve execution excellence.
Key Responsibilities
This role balances Product Management and Project Management responsibilities, each contributing 50%:
- Product Management (50%)
- Own and maintain the product roadmap, ensuring alignment with company vision and strategic objectives.
- Gather and synthesize requirements from leadership, customers, and internal stakeholders.
- Own and manage the product backlog, including writing clear user stories, defining acceptance criteria, and prioritizing initiatives.
- Translate business needs into actionable technical features and product enhancements.
- Monitor product adoption, collect feedback, and track success metrics to inform continuous improvement.
- Ensure product decisions balance user value, technical feasibility, and business impact.
- Project Management (50%)
- Lead day-to-day agile execution, including standups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
- Ensure the backlog remains organized, realistic, and aligned with team capacity.
- Track milestones, dependencies, risks, and overall project progress.
- Proactively identify and resolve blockers to maintain delivery momentum.
- Coordinate across engineering, design, and leadership to ensure alignment and execution clarity.
- Provide structured updates on timelines, delivery health, risks, and mitigation plans.
- Drive accountability and ensure initiatives are delivered on time and at high quality.
Required Experience And Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 5–7+ years of experience in Product Management, Project Management, or hybrid product-delivery roles.
- Strong experience working with technical teams (engineering, architecture, data).
- Proven experience with Agile/Scrum/Kanban methodologies and tools such as Jira, Linear, or Notion.
- Technical fluency, with the ability to understand system architecture, APIs, and technical trade-offs (engineering background not required).
- Experience working on AI-related projects and utilizing different models in day-to-day operations.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and facilitation skills.
