Opportunity
The Assistant Dean Colleges and Curriculum - Healthcare Administration assists in managing courses, curriculum, and programs within the College of Health Sciences. Responsibilities include faculty management, academic policy enforcement, assessment support, accreditation activities, and additional projects as needed.
Responsibilities
- Manage course development and revision to ensure alignment with program outcomes.
- Audit course materials and verify alignment of objectives with deliverables.
- Provide management and support for full time, visiting, and academic faculty.
- Facilitate integration of course technologies and innovative learning environments.
- Develop program strategy and oversee continuous course improvements through feedback.
- Support practicum facilitation and collaborate with University Library and committees.
- Occasionally teach courses within approved university disciplines.
Qualifications
- Doctorate Degree in Healthcare Administration or related field with 18 graduate hours.
- Three to five years of relevant healthcare industry experience.
- At least two years of teaching experience.
- Strong management, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient with personal computer hardware/software and the Internet.
- Experience in coaching and mentoring staff with excellent analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Fellow, American College of Healthcare Executives
- Certification or experience with CAHME or AUPHA accreditation
- Five years previous teaching experience
- Experience in Telehealth, Healthcare Data Analytics, Supply Chain Management, Long-Term Care Administration, or Social Determinants of Health
