Opportunity

The Visiting Professor of Accounting role is for experienced industry professionals who are passionate about imparting practical knowledge to undergraduate and graduate students. Classes meet one or two times a week over an eight-week session, blending face-to-face interaction with online components.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver an approved syllabus following DeVry templates.
• Organize, update, and revise course materials regularly.
• Utilize online technologies including email, websites, and discussion platforms.
• Set clear expectations with detailed course objectives and evaluation methods.
• Provide fair grading and timely feedback to students.
• Participate in a comprehensive faculty training and development program.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Accounting or related field with 18 graduate credit hours in Accounting.
• Active CPA is preferred.
• Accredited credentials and subject matter expertise required.
• Excellent communication, motivational, and instructional skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in diverse educational environments.

Compensation & Benefits

Pay is determined based on degree, credit hours, and location, with session rates varying between $1500-$2700. Additional benefits include 401(k) and Roth Plan, Paid Tuition Program, Remote and Flex Work Options, Health and Insurance Benefits, and more, depending on employment status.
