About the role

License Specialist

At Devoted, we provide excellent clinical care to our members through a unique and collaborative approach. As a License Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining 100% compliance within the licensure space. You will spend time collaborating with our various providers within Devoted Medical to ensure they are set up to successfully manage their licenses and certificates and to keep them current. You will be a subject matter expert on license requirements by state and share that knowledge with the rest of the organization.

Responsibilities and Impact:

  • Maintain the credentialing files and required documentation of all providers, to include medical licenses, board certification, professional-liability insurance coverage, DEA, and other pertinent information, per Devoted Medical’s policy and procedures.
  • Utilize WorkDay to maintain a current and accurate record of provider data for use in the credentialing and recredentialing process.
  • Coordinate the management of the expirables process to ensure all clinical provider licenses and certificates remain current, ensuring appropriate proper notification prior to expiration.
  • Track licensing status for all Devoted Medical providers.
  • Review monthly reports on all Providers who will have licenses which are ready to expire within the next 30, 60 and 90 days and communicate results to appropriate staff members.
  • Assist providers in understanding the licensure requirements in each state.
  • Collaborate with Talent and Practice Management to monitor status of new hires to verify current licensure and ensure timely credentialing at the start of employment.
  • Ensure processes comply with plan requirements and standards, bylaws, state and federal requirements, accreditation standards.

Salary Range:

$55,000 - $82,000 / year

The pay range listed for this position is the range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at the time of the posting. Once the interview process begins, your talent partner will provide additional information on the compensation for the role, along with additional information on our total rewards package. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
