About the Role
The Clinical Associate is a key member of our interdisciplinary virtual and home-based medical practice, Devoted Medical (DM). Devoted Medical provides comprehensive wellness visits, transitions of care, longitudinal visits for complex members, and on-demand urgent care.
In this role, you will bridge the gap between our healthcare services and Devoted members. You will work closely with clinicians, support telehealth visits, identify care gaps, and help members navigate a fragmented healthcare system. This includes coordinating with PCPs, pharmacies, and managing durable medical equipment (DME), home health care, imaging, and laboratory testing. Your goal is to advocate for members, improve adherence to care plans, and ensure they receive the care they would want for a loved one, leading to better health outcomes and a superior care experience.
Responsibilities and Impact
Responsibilities may vary depending on the clinical program (Devoted Medical, Devoted2Me, Specialty Care - Hypertension, Responsive Care).
Pre-Visit Prep
- Prepare members for telehealth visits by providing video onboarding and ensuring comfort.
Post - Visit Prep and Order Management/Care Coordination
- Coordinate with home health partners for DME and skilled nursing services.
- Arrange lab testing and imaging for members, diligently tracking results for clinician review.
- Communicate lab results to members and coordinate follow-up care as directed by the clinician.
- Assist DM Providers with medical record collection, information gathering, appointment setup, and outbound communications.
Disclaimer: This role does not involve clinical decision-making or activities requiring licensure. All clinical tasks are delegated by and performed under the supervision of licensed professionals. Clinical Associates must direct clinical concerns raised by members to the appropriate licensed team member.
Patient Education
- Serve as a member advocate for care coordination issues, answering and returning calls.
- Process internal program referrals, and send welcome kits and educational materials.
Work Schedule
Available schedules include Monday - Friday 8:30am–5:00pm ET, 9:00am-5:30pm ET, 10:00am-6:30pm ET, or 11:30am-8:00pm ET. Specific schedules will be discussed during the interview process.
Required Skills and Experience

- Fully bilingual (English/Spanish).
- Two (2) years of patient-facing experience (telehealth experience is a bonus).
- Prior primary care experience is a plus.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Experience in care coordination, especially with Medicare patients for star ratings and preventative screenings (e.g., A1c, Blood Pressure, Colorectal Cancer Screenings, Diabetes Eye Exams, Breast Cancer Screenings).
- Highly organized and adaptable, capable of managing a large member panel (100+) with frequent changes.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy, and rapidly growing organization.
- Skilled at easing member stress and anxiety.
- Strong communicator, effective with various stakeholders (doctors, pharmacies, nurses, caregivers).
- Comfortable interacting with members via video, phone, and portal.
- Entrepreneurial self-starter with initiative and a collaborative spirit.
- Quick learner of new technologies, including EHRs and computer platforms (e.g., Google Chrome, Google Sheets).
