Department
The Classified & Public department is responsible for holistic solutions, from development to operation, for our customers in the public sector at federal and state levels (public authorities) as well as European Union institutions. Portfolio development takes place with due regard for and further development of current security and classified information requirements. The Operations department is responsible for the secure and efficient operation of ICT infrastructures within the Classified & Public units according to the requirements of contractual agreements with the customer.
Tasks
As an Operations Manager Network Security, you ensure application availability and the proper operation of processes and systems for the NT/IT infrastructure or applications in the Network Security area under your care.
- You conduct error analyses and analyses of technical disruptions, and you resolve these disruptions; additionally, you provide Technical Support for incident resolution.
- You monitor and analyze stability, capacity, and performance, identifying needs for action at system and process levels.
- You support the further development of the automation level in the deployment of application releases.
- You participate in projects and lead sub-projects.
Profile
You have a degree (Computer Science) or a completed vocational training (IT Specialist) combined with several years of professional experience in Network Operations. Furthermore, you are characterized by the following knowledge and skills:
- Very good understanding of IT Operations, especially routers, switches, proxy, firewalls, Intrusion Detection/Intrusion Prevention, Antivirus, Anti-Spam.
- Very good knowledge of security network systems such as firewalls, Genua, routers, switches, Genuscreen, GENUGATE, GENUCENTER, other security measures, network hardware/software tools.
- Good know-how in the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and operation of all Security Platforms and associated software. Abilities in the virtualization of network security environments.
- Good knowledge of Proxy Services (or Squid Proxy).
- Experience with Linux (Debian-, OpenBSD-) operating systems.
- Detailed understanding and practical experience in IT security and data protection.
- Expertise in information technology, especially technical knowledge of modern IT architectures (network technologies, infrastructure, applications, and databases) as well as associated deployment technologies.
- Very good knowledge of the ITIL Framework.
This position is also available part-time.
