About the Role
At Deutsche Börse Group, join the Cyber Protection – Detect & Prevent Unit, working with engineers across Eschborn, Luxembourg, and Prague. In this role as a Cyber Security Database Engineer - Group Security, you will manage and support security toolsets related to Database Activity Monitoring (DAM) and beyond.
Area of Work
The team handles not only DAM but also malware detection, Host/Network Intrusion (IDS/IPS), Web Application Firewall (WAF), data leakage and breach prevention, and cryptographic protocol security.
Your Responsibilities
- Plan the rollout of DAM-related security toolsets.
- Manage and monitor policies ensuring they meet business requirements.
- Advise projects and application owners on logging policies.
- Document, track, monitor, report, and notify stakeholders.
- Oversee ongoing documentation of DAM services and processes.
- Perform tuning and revalidation of threat monitoring rules.
- Enhance database monitoring tools for regulatory compliance.
Your Profile
A university degree in IT, business informatics, or comparable education with robust database and security knowledge is required. Experience with Imperva DAM, SQL, Python, Bash, SIEM (e.g., Splunk), and public cloud platforms like GCP or Azure is highly desirable. Past experience as a DBA or Application Support Analyst is a plus. You should be able to present complex topics clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences and be proactive in identifying security trends and vulnerabilities.
