Your Area of Work
The Risk Tools and Analytics team is pivotal in developing and maintaining enterprise risk management systems. This team facilitates crucial communication between risk management and Corporate IT, ensuring efficient assessment and reporting of operational, financial, and business risks. As an IT Business Analyst, you will play a key role in shaping how group risk management leverages cutting-edge software solutions to implement state-of-the-art enterprise risk management for Eurex Clearing AG (ECAG).
Your Responsibilities
- You will be responsible for delivering significant improvements to risk management systems and processes, coordinating effectively among key stakeholders and collaborating closely with both business and IT teams across Deutsche Börse Group.
- As an integral part of the risk management team, you will perform thorough end-to-end user acceptance testing of delivered changes, which includes formulating test approaches, defining acceptance criteria, preparing test data, and executing test cycles in close coordination with risk management teams.
- You will gather, analyze, and assess business and system requirements, subsequently designing solutions within our risk management applications. When necessary, you will prepare forward-looking prototypes in adherence to applicable software development standards.
- You will support the development, testing, and maintenance of risk models and the RITA application (our in-house risk management system), including its various interfaces.
- Performing complex data analysis and data visualization tasks will also be a key responsibility, alongside preparing reports for both internal and external audiences using tools such as Qlik Sense, Looker, or Power BI.
Your Profile
- A university degree, preferably in computer science, quantitative finance, or engineering, is essential for this role.
- You should have previous user acceptance testing (UAT) and/or software development experience, ideally within the financial markets domain.
- Previous experience in software project management, along with knowledge of related methodologies and tools, is highly valued.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and hands-on experience with writing SQL queries, particularly in PostgreSQL, is required.
- Strong analytical skills are a must, coupled with the ability to produce clear graphical representations and data visualizations. Experience with Python, Databricks, Looker, and Power BI is preferred.
- A high degree of attention to detail, critical thinking, and a strong problem-solving attitude are crucial for success.
- Excellent communication skills and proficiency in written and spoken English are required; German language skills will be considered an asset.
