Your Career as a Data Protection Intern at Deutsche Börse Group
As a Data Protection Intern, you will be an integral part of the Deutsche Börse Group's compliance team. This function collaborates closely with various business units and group control functions to ensure adherence to both local and international laws and regulations pertinent to Deutsche Börse Group and its operations. The Compliance Function plays a proactive role in identifying potential regulatory or reputational risks, particularly those arising from new activities and products. It works in conjunction with Group Compliance, which is responsible for establishing group-wide compliance standards, supporting their consistent application, and providing centralized services to prevent issues such as money laundering, terrorist financing, international financial sanctions, other criminal offenses, data protection breaches, and conflicts of interest or market abuse.
You will be actively involved in critical processes, undertaking diverse, interesting, and challenging tasks. Additionally, you will assist with the varied and extensive responsibilities related to national and international data protection, with a particular focus on the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Deutsche Börse Group is seeking a motivated Data Protection Intern to join their team. The successful candidate will work closely with the Data Protection Officer (DPO).
Your Responsibilities
- Support the data protection area to ensure compliance with data protection regulations within Clearstream Fund Centre S.A.
- Work on internal and external data protection inquiries.
- Assist in creating analyses and reports on current data protection topics.
- Support the organization and implementation of data protection training.
- Engage in project-related activities, as well as administrative and organizational tasks.
Your Profile
- You are currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's Degree at a recognized institution and can provide an internship agreement, OR, you have graduated with a Bachelor's degree or similar within the last 6 months.
- You are enrolled as a regular student, ideally studying law, information law, (business) informatics, or a comparable program with a focus on data protection or IT law.
- You have a genuine interest in data protection and the financial industry.
- Your qualities include commitment, independence, accuracy, good organizational and communication skills, and a strong ability to work in a team.
- You possess excellent knowledge of MS Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- You maintain high ethical standards and are committed to upholding confidentiality and integrity.
- You have very good English language skills, both written and spoken. (French and/or German language skills are a plus).
