The Private Bank Transformation Team at Deutsche Bank is dedicated to modernizing client lifecycle processes including onboarding, KYC, Source of Wealth (SoW), ongoing reviews, and surveillance-aligned activities. This involves embedding advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities—such as machine learning, generative AI, and agentic workflows—into core Private Banking operations. The team operates through cross-functional Agile squads, collaborating closely with Business, Compliance, AFC, Technology, and Data groups to deliver AI solutions that are safe, explainable, and scalable.

As a Private Bank AI Analyst VP, you will be a senior contributor responsible for shaping and delivering impactful AI solutions across Private Banking. This role serves as a crucial bridge between business policy owners, subject matter experts (SMEs), and technical teams, ensuring that AI solutions are compliant, explainable, and operationally effective. You will lead the end-to-end delivery of AI use cases, from initial problem definition through to deployment, and establish standards for requirements, evaluation methods, and governance.

Your key responsibilities:

AI Strategy & Use Case Leadership

• Partner with Transformation and Business Process Owners to identify and prioritize AI opportunities.
• Translate Private Banking business requirements (with an immediate focus on KYC processes) into AI-ready requirements.
• Collaborate with AI Engineers to design explainable and resilient AI workflows.
• Maintain specifications, evaluation datasets, and robust guardrails.

Data, Insights & Model Oversight

• Lead data exploration and comprehensive quality assessment.
• Guide effective modeling approaches, prompt design, and precise evaluation methods.
• Oversee model diagnostics and regular performance reviews.
• Contribute to shared evaluation and testing frameworks to ensure consistency.

Business Alignment & Governance

• Act as a key partner to Business, Compliance, AFC, and Audit stakeholders.
• Ensure full alignment with governance standards and all regulatory expectations.
• Produce clear documentation and transparent model explanations.
• Support thorough risk assessment and ensure audit readiness.

Cross Functional Delivery & Stakeholder Leadership

• Lead the delivery of selected AI initiatives and effectively manage cross-team dependencies.
• Support detailed requirement writing, acceptance criteria definition, and comprehensive testing.
• Drive User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business users to ensure solutions meet needs.
• Present solutions and insightful findings to diverse stakeholders.

Adoption & Change Management

• Oversee training programs, seamless rollout, and ensure operational readiness.
• Lead feedback loops and facilitate iterative improvements based on user input.
• Track usage, adoption rates, and measure overall business impact.
• Promote the reuse of AI assets across different regions and teams for efficiency.

Your skills and experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in AI, analytics, product management, or business analysis within the financial services industry, specifically with private banking knowledge.
• Demonstrated exposure to developing or implementing AI/ML solutions.
• Proven ability to translate complex business rules into structured AI requirements.
• Deep understanding of Private Banking KYC/SoW processes and associated controls.
• Familiarity with core AI/ML concepts, model evaluation methodologies, and explainability principles.
• Ability to effectively work with both structured and unstructured data.
• Knowledge of version control systems, testing frameworks, and governance tools.
• Strong analytical judgment, balancing innovation with robust risk control.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with Agile delivery methodologies and collaborative documentation tools.
• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Data Science, or a closely related field.
