Responsibilities

• Support and oversee end-to-end payment processing activities, including complex cases, repairs and investigations.
• Act as a senior operational contributor to ensure stable, compliant, and well-controlled payment processes, applying risk and control principles and owning operational reviews, issue resolution, and continuous control improvement.
• Translate payment-related regulatory requirements into operational processes, controls and documentation.
• Act as an experienced operations counterpart for technology-driven changes, including new standards, system enhancements and UAT activities.
• Contribute to process optimisation, automation and STP improvements across payment and cash management operations.
• Serve as a point of reference for junior team members, supporting knowledge sharing and operational guidance.
• Work independently and proactive, demonstrating strong ownership and accountability.

Skills

• Several years of hands-on experience in payment operations and/or cash management, with exposure to complex, non-standard cases.
• Proven ability to independently assess operational risks, identify control gaps and contribute to sustainable remediation.
• Strong understanding of payment processing architectures, including investigations and end-to-end dependencies.
• Practical experience translating payment-related regulatory or audit requirements into operational processes, controls and documentation.
• Sound knowledge of ISO 20022 standards and SWIFT-based payment environments.
• Confident working with banking systems and technology-driven processes, able to act as an operations counterpart in change initiatives (e.g. system upgrades, UAT).
• Demonstrates ability to work autonomously, prioritize effective and take ownership beyond day-to-day processing.
• Fluent in English required; German is an advantage.
