Position Overview

The Lead Cloud Engineer role at Deutsche Bank focuses on designing, architecting, and delivering scalable, secure, production-grade infrastructure on GCP. The role requires deep expertise in GCP and AI/ML technologies in a fast-paced, regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and architect scalable, secure GCP infrastructure using GKE, Cloud Functions, Vertex AI, etc.
  • Develop infrastructure-as-code with Terraform and implement automated CI/CD pipelines.
  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders for API platforms and AI/ML solutions.
  • Contribute to API and microservices development using Python or Java.
  • Automate operational workflows and support incident response and root cause analysis.
  • Develop reusable modules and tools to accelerate infrastructure delivery.
  • Champion best practices for AI/ML infrastructure including training, deployment, monitoring, and governance.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field. Several years of cloud engineering and DevOps experience with proven track record on GCP. Proficiency in Python, Java, or Go, with strong skills in automation, cloud networking, security, and compliance. Hands-on experience with AI/ML workflows and tools such as Vertex AI and MLflow.
