Job Title: IB Divisional Control Office – Assurance / CDA, VP
As a key member of the Control Assurance and Risk Identification Team within Deutsche Bank's Investment Bank Divisional Controls Office (DCO), you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effectiveness of the non-financial risk control framework across the Investment Bank.
Role Description
This role involves joining the Control Assurance and Risk Identification Team within the Investment Bank’s Divisional Controls Office (DCO). The DCO is responsible for the global control environment across the IB, closely aligning with the business to provide central oversight for Front Office (FO) control framework activities. This includes the design, implementation, and ongoing assurance/validation of key FO-owned controls. The team's primary purpose is to provide the Investment Bank with assurance that its Non-Financial Risk control framework is effective. You will be responsible for testing the design and operating effectiveness of IB Front Office owned key controls and executing detection tests to stress test their operating effectiveness.

Your Key Responsibilities
DCO – Assurance and control testing
- Collaborate with the Business Controls team, Non-Financial Risk Management team, and Front Office to develop the division's assurance/testing plan.
- Conduct Design Effectiveness (DE) and Operational Effectiveness (OE) Testing of Front Office owned or operated controls, proposing remediation actions as needed.
- Prepare assurance workpapers and publish detailed testing reports.
- Present assurance findings to senior stakeholders and control owners.
- Produce high-quality Global Governance decks and report trends to support controls oversight.
- Develop a thorough understanding of audit methodology for testing, monitoring, and oversight to conclude on control effectiveness.
- Liaise with 2LOD on various initiatives, including framework and policy developments.
DCO - Control Design Authority (CDA)
- Perform Quality Assurance on the design of Key Controls prior to the CDA Forum, assessing their effectiveness in mitigating risk sustainably.
- Determine whether a control requires CDA approval.
- Guide Finding/Control Owners on principles of effective and sustainable control design.
- Provide advice and training on control design principles.
Your Skills And Experience
- Strong understanding of control principles and Non-Financial Risk.
- Proven experience in Audit, Controls Testing, Assurance, or a Business Control Unit, with in-depth knowledge of IB products.
- Effective communication skills, including concise writing, effective presentation, and the ability to manage and influence senior stakeholders.
- Proactive and delivery-focused mindset, capable of thriving in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Structured and meticulous approach with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office Applications.
