Position Overview

The Data Engineer for Private Bank One Data Platform on Google Cloud is part of the internationally staffed agile team within the TDI PB Germany Enterprise & Data division. The role focuses on developing, designing, and provisioning data warehousing, reporting, and analytics solutions for the Private Bank. The platform leverages Google Cloud Platform to support Deutsche Bank’s cloud strategy.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Develop scalable data engineering pipelines and models.
  • Integrate legacy IT solutions with modern data architectures.
  • Design databases, data transformations (ETL), and data models.
  • Support data harmonization and cleansing initiatives.
  • Collaborate with product owners and agile teams for data solution design.
  • Automate processes to reduce manual effort.

Mandatory Skills

  • Hands-on experience with Python for scalable data pipelines.
  • Excellent knowledge of SQL and NOSQL databases.
  • Experience in Agile, fast-paced environments.
  • Working knowledge of public cloud environments.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with DataProc (Apache Spark), Cloud Functions, Cloud Run.
  • Familiarity with workflow management tools (Apache Airflow/Composer).
  • Understanding of GCS Buckets, Google Pub/Sub, and BigQuery.
  • Knowledge of ETL processes in Data Warehousing and Data Lake setups.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Terraform, Shell Scripting, Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of Google Cloud Monitoring & Alerting.
  • Excellent analytical, conceptual, and communication skills.
  • Experience working with distributed teams (Germany and India).
