About the Role
The track measurement department of DB InfraGO AG, part of Deutsche Bahn, is responsible for the regular inspection of approximately 33,000 kilometers of track, main lines, overhead lines, and switches. With around 100 employees, our team is crucial for the safety and availability of the rail network. We are unique within the group and continuously optimize our measurement systems with years of experience to meet upcoming challenges.
We are looking for you to join as a Mechatronics Technician with Development Potential for the track measurement team of DB InfraGO AG, with nationwide deployment.
Your Qualification Path
Your qualification begins with you starting as a technician for track geometry. Following this, you will progress through several development steps towards the target position of Measurement Train Manager.
Your Responsibilities
- You will typically work Monday to Friday nationwide on the track measurement trains, returning home on weekends.
- You will prepare and support measurement and testing runs for track geometry.
- You will perform pre- and post-operational services for the measurement technology on the trains.
- You will monitor technical functions on the measurement trains and perform repair and calibration work on the measurement technology as needed.
- You will be responsible for proper documentation, including maintaining operational documents, logbooks, and managing measurement and test data.
Your Profile
- You have successfully completed vocational training in a mechanical or electrical engineering field (e.g., Electronics Technician for Plant Engineering, Mechatronics Technician, Automotive Mechatronics Technician, or Industrial Mechanic).
- You possess extensive technical knowledge gained through professional experience.
- Proficiency with standard IT systems is required.
- You demonstrate strong teamwork and communication skills.
- You are willing to travel extensively, working Monday to Friday on measurement trains and being home on weekends.
- You are prepared to acquire further qualifications through internal training programs.
