Overview
In this role at Deutsche Bahn, you will start as a Facharbeiter in Leit- und Sicherungstechnik and progress through an 18-month internal qualification program to become a Signalmechaniker. You will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of various electrical and mechanical components on signals, switches, and level crossings using modern measurement devices and technical documentation methods.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain diverse signal and railway safety systems
- Inspect, repair, and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical components
- Use modern measurement devices to assess equipment conditions
- Document technical data accurately
- Work independently and within a team at the Rastatt central base
- Participate in an internal qualification and continuous training program
Candidate Profile
You should have completed a vocational training in electrical engineering (e.g., Elektriker, Mechatroniker, Elektrofachkraft, Elektroniker for Betriebstechnik or Automatisierungstechnik) and be willing to work outdoors. A valid Class B driving license is an advantage and you must be ready for rolling on-call duties.
