Product Owner at Desjardins
As a Product Owner at Desjardins, you will serve as the client's advocate, responsible for shaping the member/client experience. Your primary goal will be to consistently develop products and services that ensure a positive and impactful experience for clients.
You will work in close collaboration with project developers and business analysts to guarantee that solutions effectively address user needs and that the anticipated benefits of projects are realized. Managing relationships with various project stakeholders will be a key aspect of your role, requiring strong engagement and influencing skills.
You will lead and influence specialists within your squads and other stakeholders across strategic, complex, and highly innovative planning, feasibility, and development projects that span multiple sectors. Your contributions will extend to developing and recommending strategic orientations and business positioning. You will provide recommendations on the development and delivery of files and projects that involve significant operational and conceptual complexity and have a major impact on the business sector's directions. This will demand thorough analysis and a comprehensive, in-depth understanding of both the business and the organization, with coordination being critical.
You will interact with a wide array of stakeholders across diverse fields of expertise, serving as an expert advisor, subject matter expert, resource person, and coach for senior management and decision-making bodies.
Specific Responsibilities
- Establish and manage the product backlog for projects, mandates, and development activities pertinent to your expertise and squads, ensuring significant scope and impact for the business and Desjardins Group.
- Advise and assist clients and partners on the positioning, planning, development, performance, and follow-up of various strategic mandates under your responsibility.
- Oversee the development and ongoing updates of policies, standards, models, and programs to support your unit’s strategic projects and mandates.
- Identify and analyze problems, escalate major issues, develop diagnostics, and propose recommendations to relevant decision-making bodies regarding business solutions and key market-development strategies and tactics.
- Coach other Product Owners within the organization.
- Represent your unit in discussions with senior management committees and decision-making bodies.
- Represent Desjardins during negotiations and commitment to agreements with external partners and organizations.
