Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Contracts Administrator to join a well-established construction contractor delivering projects across Newcastle and the wider NSW region in their linings division.
Role
The Contracts Administrator will work closely with the Project Manager, Construction Manager, Site Teams, and Commercial leadership to ensure smooth project delivery. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing all contractual and commercial aspects from procurement to final accounts.
- Preparing, assessing, and managing subcontractor scopes, tender packages, and contract negotiations.
- Administering progress claims, variations, extensions of time, and cost reporting aligned with project budgets.
- Monitoring project costs, forecasting, and cash flow with accurate monthly reporting.
- Maintaining strong relationships with consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Supporting compliance with company systems, quality standards, and WHS requirements.
Requirements
Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Contracts Administrator role within the construction industry. A strong commercial acumen, detailed understanding of Australian construction contracts, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders are required.
Salary & Benefits
