Role: Manager, Billing

Reporting to the Director, Operational Finance, the Manager, Billing, will lead a team of 5+ direct reports. This pivotal role involves ensuring monthly billing timelines are consistently met and conducting diligent monthly variance analyses. A significant aspect of this position is the review of existing billing processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, and overseeing the implementation of changes to optimize business performance. The successful candidate will be a key leader within the Finance team, demonstrating adaptability and the ability to collaborate effectively across various departments. Strong influence and communication skills are essential for navigating a fast-paced environment with evolving business needs.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring billing timelines are met monthly.
• Assisting in the review and completion of monthly billing variance analysis.
• Leading and coaching a team of direct reports, ensuring appropriate expectations are set.
• Assisting in the identification, development, and implementation of best-in-class billing processes.
• Preparing process documentation and providing training to billing representatives as required.
• Assisting in finance integration activities for prospective and completed acquisitions.

Qualifications

• University degree in business, finance, or accounting.
• Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation is an asset.
• 3-5 years of management-level experience, including a background in billing and operational process improvement.
• Experience in an SAP environment is an asset.
• Proven leadership and assertiveness.
• Ability to communicate effectively with employees, including management.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines.
• Strong project management skills.
• Focused attention to detail.
