About the Role

The People Insights and Data Analyst at Department of Transport and Planning will support the delivery of high-quality workforce analytics and reporting. The role involves collecting, interpreting, and presenting workforce data in a clear manner to facilitate evidence-based decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver workforce reports, dashboards, and data models (e.g. Power BI).
  • Support data quality and governance through validation and record maintenance.
  • Analyze workforce trends to inform planning and reporting.
  • Collaborate with ICT, Finance, and HRIS teams for data consistency.
  • Prepare concise reports, charts, and summaries for stakeholders.
  • Provide administrative and coordination support including workforce movement monitoring.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of workforce reporting tools and processes.
  • Build strong inter-team working relationships for data-driven decision-making.

About You

You have a solid foundation in data analysis with proficiency in tools such as Excel and Power BI. You are detail-oriented, organized, and have a keen interest in workforce analytics. Being collaborative and proactive is essential as you support better workforce decisions.

Qualifications and Experience

A tertiary qualification in Data Analytics, Human Resources, Business, Economics or a related field is desirable, along with familiarity with Power BI for report development and dashboard visualisation.
