About the Role
Join the National Fire Ant Eradication Program (NFAEP) as a Senior Intelligence Analyst at the Department of Primary Industries (Queensland). In this role, you will use your expertise in intelligence analysis and strategic planning to support Queensland's environment, agriculture, and communities from the threat of invasive fire ants.
Key Responsibilities
- Collection Planning and Management: Develop and manage collection plans that align with NFAEP's strategic objectives and priorities, coordinating with analysts and stakeholders for timely and accurate data collection.
- Intelligence Analysis: Utilize intelligence and OSINT tools to gather, analyze, and assess complex data.
- Analysis Techniques: Apply various analysis techniques to interpret data, identifying patterns, trends, and insights.
- Reporting: Prepare detailed reports outlining intelligence findings, trends, and recommendations for senior management.
- Compliance: Ensure all intelligence activities follow relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with program stakeholders to understand intelligence requirements and gather feedback.
- Continuous Improvement: Evaluate the effectiveness of tools and methodologies to drive improvements.
Qualifications & Desirable Experience
Experience in intelligence roles within regulatory, security, law enforcement, or environmental contexts is desirable. Relevant tertiary or industry qualifications are advantageous.
