Corrections Victoria is part of the Corrections and Justice Services group in the Department of Justice and Community Safety. Corrections Victoria operates Victoria's adult custodial corrections system with the vision for Safer Prisons, Safer People, Safer Communities, aiming for a safer, smarter system with a skilled and supported workforce.

About The Role

Reporting to the Manager, Continuous Improvement within the Custodial Operations Division, the Senior Continuous Improvement Officer is responsible for identifying opportunities to enhance operations and safety within prisons. The role involves planning, coordinating, and delivering initiatives and projects aimed at improving custodial operations while working within a complex operating and legislative environment.

Some Of Your Duties Will Include

  • Building and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Driving change and innovation activities across the custodial system.
  • Creating and maintaining templates, tools, and processes.
  • Using research and analysis to support decision making.
  • Preparing and coordinating briefings, complex correspondence, and policies.

About You

A proven record of leading and delivering organisational change initiatives and driving reform within a complex statutory operating environment is required. Strong knowledge of the custodial environment is essential.

Qualifications/Requirements

Relevant project management and policy experience and/or qualifications in a related discipline is desirable.
