Position Overview
This role is for an Associate Geotechnical Engineer in Portland, Oregon with a minimum of 10 years of experience. The candidate will manage geotechnical projects including tunnels, underground facilities and water infrastructure projects. They will lead technical delivery, mentor junior staff and interface directly with clients.
Responsibilities
- Manage and lead geotechnical project teams
- Coordinate exploration programs and technical analyses
- Perform senior review of geotechnical calculations and design
- Prepare technical reports, construction drawings and specifications
- Participate in business development and client presentations
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior staff
Qualifications
- BS in Civil Engineering with a focus on Geotechnical Engineering (MS preferred)
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
- Professional Engineering license in Oregon
- Experience with geotechnical analysis software (e.g., Rocscience, Shoring Suite)
- Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills
- Willingness to travel within the Pacific Northwest
