Position Overview
The Senior Financial Analyst – DPS owns the weekly operational bookings and revenue forecasting function for the Deltek Professional Services (DPS) portfolio. This role sits at the intersection of operational finance and strategic advisory, operating within a Finance Business Partner model. The ideal candidate brings analytical rigor, business acumen, and the ability to translate financial data into actionable business insight.
Core Responsibilities
- Financial Modeling & Forecasting: Own DPS bookings, revenue, margin, and utilization modeling on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis. Maintain and continuously enhance financial models to support monthly forecasting cycles and the annual plan process, including monthly submissions in Workday Adaptive.
- Business Partnering & Insights: Conduct weekly sessions with Delivery leaders to identify and escalate revenue risks and opportunities, and surface operational enhancements. Develop and maintain DPS-specific reporting packages (PowerBI). Support cross-functional partnerships with Services Sales teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA a plus.
- 3-5 years of progressive Finance experience, preferably within a cloud-based software or professional services organization.
- Strong financial modeling skills (Excel required; Workday Adaptive or similar FP&A tools preferred).
- Snowflake/SQL experience preferred, not required.
- Fluency in ASC 606 Revenue Recognition Standard.
- High degree of ownership, bias toward action, and comfort operating in ambiguity.
