About the Role: Technical Project Manager at Delta Capita

As a Technical Project Manager at Delta Capita, you will be instrumental in overseeing technology projects from initiation to closure. This role requires a strong blend of project management expertise, leadership, and a deep understanding of financial services to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Day-to-day management and central point of contact for project organization and delivery.
• Own and manage project governance, including stakeholder mapping, scheduling governance forums (e.g., Operating & Steering Committees), and documentation (e.g., Terms of reference/project charters, project plans, status reports).
• Ensure resources are secured to deliver projects effectively.
• Manage and oversee project plans and RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies).
• Coordinate the delivery of project tasks from initiation to closure.
• Build and manage relationships with project stakeholders, ensuring appropriate communication levels.
• Ensure decisions and outcomes are meticulously documented via minutes, sign-offs, and formal project documentation.
• Support the project team in resolving and escalating risks, issues, and lessons learned.
• Identify and manage cross-functional interdependencies.
• Support and challenge the project team to ensure best practice processes are followed and desired outcomes are achieved.
• Work collaboratively, develop good working relationships, and build consensus among key stakeholders.
• Undertake other Transformation & Change lifecycle roles/responsibilities as required.

Requirements for Success

To excel in this role, you should possess hands-on project management experience with a solid background in Financial Services. A good understanding of structured waterfall and agile project lifecycle principles is crucial, alongside strong stakeholder management and excellent communication skills. You should be comfortable interacting with various levels across business and technology, capable of drafting formal project documentation, and skilled in workshop facilitation and strategic thinking. Proven experience in managing projects from initiation to closure and a solution-oriented, pragmatic approach to delivery are highly valued. Prior experience in a consulting or services organization is also essential.

Desirable Skills & Qualifications

• Prince 2, AgilePM, or equivalent accreditations.
• Experience using project tools such as MS Project, Visio, JIRA, Confluence, etc.
