As a Software Engineering Manager, you will lead large, high‑performing engineering organizations focused on building next‑generation, AI‑enhanced, cloud‑native Reservation and Contact Center solutions. This role requires a visionary technology leader who can harness Agentic AI, modern architectures, and scalable AWS services to accelerate software delivery, improve system resilience, and elevate the customer and agent experience.

You will drive the strategy, architecture, and execution of highly available, secure, and service‑oriented digital platforms. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise across modern UI frameworks, API‑driven microservices, and cloud-native engineering, with proven success leading sizable software teams in fast‑paced environments. Experience with AWS (Solutions Architect certification preferred) is highly desirable.

This leader will champion automation, AI‑powered engineering productivity, and modern DevSecOps practices to dramatically shorten development cycles and increase operational agility. You will be responsible for shaping long-term technical direction, guiding hands-on solution design, and developing top engineering talent capable of delivering scalable, intelligent, and user‑centric digital applications for Contact Center Specialists.

Key responsibilities include driving the full software development lifecycle, ensuring on‑time and high‑quality delivery, and cultivating a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement across engineering squads.

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of software engineers.
  • Oversee the design, development, and deployment of software applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and deliverables.
  • Ensure the implementation of best practices in software development and coding standards.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.

What You Need To Succeed (Minimum Qualifications)

  • 10+ years of hands-on professional experience in information technology, preferrable managing development teams.
  • Strong knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, or similar.
  • Experience leading AI-enabled, cloud-native software solutions at scale.
  • Proficiency with UI technologies and frameworks such as Nodejs, Angular, Adobe Experience Manager.
  • Experience in Customer Engagement and Communication using SalesForce.
  • Experience with AWS Cloud computing platform.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
  • Experience with microservices architecture and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering complex software projects.
  • Candidate must be solutions oriented using rigorous logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions, probing all sources for answers.
  • The candidate must have excellent written and verbal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and management.
  • Self-learner with the ability to learn new technologies and provide tangible results.
  • Highly adaptable, a driver of change, and capable of quickly rallying teams / peer groups.

  • Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
  • Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
  • Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.

What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related technical field is preferred.
  • Experience working in an airline technology environment is preferred.
  • Preferred AWS Solutions Architect Certification.
  • Preferred AEM Certification.
