Who we are looking for
We are seeking a Test Automation Engineer with at least 2 years of experience in software testing, collaborating effectively with developers, UX designers, and business analysts throughout the software development lifecycle. The ideal candidate will possess practical knowledge of programming languages such as Java and JavaScript, along with hands-on experience in test environments requiring GUI and API testing.
Key qualifications include practical experience with test frameworks like Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium, and proficiency in API Testing tools such as SoapUI, Karate, Postman, and/or Rest Assured. Familiarity with Jenkins, Confluence, and Azure DevOps is important, as is experience with version control systems like Git and lifecycle management application tools such as JIRA, HP ALM, or Azure DevOps. The role also requires experience in defining CI/CD pipelines using industry-standard software, knowledge of ISTQB and various testing methodologies, and excellent team-player abilities with strong independent work ethic. Fluent English, both spoken and written, is essential.
Nice-to-have skills include practical knowledge in non-functional testing, experience in Accessibility testing, familiarity with scripting tools like JMeter, good knowledge of German (B1/B2), ISTQB certification, and experience with testing systems such as SAP, Salesforce, or Temenos T24.
Your future role
As a Test Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting manual and automated testing, efficiently handling detected issues, and meticulously reporting and documenting test results. A core part of your role will involve preparing and maintaining automated tests. You will work in close collaboration with developers, designers, and business analysts across the entire application development lifecycle, ensuring high-quality software delivery.
