Technical Writer Contractor AI Finance

Position Summary

This is a remote, US-based contractor position with occasional travel.

Work you'll do

As a Technical Writer Contractor AI Finance, you will be supporting AI documentation and working closely with system architects, expert services consultants, developers, product managers, and UX designers. You will create both internal and external documentation that is critical to deploying and scaling AI with enterprise clients.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain internal documentation including Deployment Guides, Architecture Overviews, Data Dictionary updates, Agent Skill Design documentation, and Use Case Implementation Guides
• Create and maintain external documentation including Release Notes, User Manuals, Onboarding Guides, and Feature & Functionality content
• Translate complex technical concepts — such as multi-agent workflows, LLM metadata configuration, dimensional data models, and agentic skill frameworks — into clear, accessible content for varied audiences
• Collaborate with SMEs across architecture, engineering, product, and expert services teams to compile, review, and revise documentation
• Manage deliverables across multiple client products on concurrent release timelines
• Create and maintain reusable document templates that adhere to the client branding guidelines
• Maintain a documentation tracker and contribute to the team's Confluence knowledge base
• Aid in monitoring and curating the SharePoint documentation library

• Basic familiarity with SDLC and software development practices
• Proficiency with image capture/editing software (e.g., Snagit)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and SharePoint
• Familiarity with Markdown
• Experience with GitHub for version-controlled documentation workflows
• Comfort working in or alongside VSCode for editing Markdown and reviewing technical files
• Hands-on experience using generative AI tools (e.g., Claude) to accelerate content creation, research, and drafting
• Experience with Atlassian Jira and Confluence, used for project tracking and team knowledge management
• Exposure to financial domain concepts (revenue reporting, KPIs, AP/AR, general ledger) or enterprise finance software
• Experience documenting data models, APIs, or system architecture
• Familiarity with dimensional data modeling concepts (star schemas, fact and dimension tables) is a plus
